MF industry AUM hits record ₹58.3 trillion in June

SIP inflows continue to surge as retail participation grows across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

India's mutual fund industry crossed ₹58.3 trillion in assets under management in June 2026, according to AMFI data released this morning — a 22% year-on-year jump driven almost entirely by retail SIP flows.

Monthly SIP collections touched ₹19,200 crore, the seventh consecutive monthly record. AMFI chief Venkat Chalasani credited the growth to "the patient compounding of the MFD network, which now stands at 1.6 lakh active ARN holders."

The Top 30 cities accounted for 78% of the AUM growth, but the share of B30 SIPs in net new folios crossed 41% — the highest ever.
